Well we have completed the first 2 rounds in our Calendar so far this season, for the ENZED Central Muscle Cars. The first round was the Hampton 500 where we had a field of 28 entrants and the second round was the V8 Supercar round at Pukekohe, where we had 31 drivers competing.
As you will know we compete in 2 different classes within the series, Group 1 and Group 2 andat the Hampton 500 Meeting new comer to the class Andrew Anderson took out the Group 1 top points score with Dean Perkins a close second and Greg Honnor in third.
Group 2 saw Mark Holland with the top points for the meeting and second equal were Bruce Kett and Steve Noyer.
The Pukekohe Supercar meeting, although hampered by the threat of rain, ended up being a dry meeting. Dean Perkins taking our the win for the meeting in Group 1 with Dean Hansen in second and Clarke Hopkins a close third.
Group 2 at the Pukekohe meeting was won by Bruce Kett, Andrew Sinclair second and Mark Holland with third.
We are appreciative of the Fan Base we are starting to attract, the crowds for both of the rounds we have been at so far has been fantastic and it is great to see spectators wandering around the Pit Area looking for their favourite car and going to have a chat to the driver. That is what Central Muscle Cars is all about, keeping it real.
We also want to thank our Sponsors for the support they have given us, ENZED as our naming rights sponsor, who have looked after us for 5 years now. Also 1st Auto Parts who are new on board this year along with Ross Roofing Group and J A Russell Electrical.
